Growing Your Social Media Presence Brings in Foot Traffic

June 26, 2023

Growing your social media presence is a process that requires a lot of time and effort. Accel Entertainment is here to provide our partner locations with a solid foundation to begin growing their social media presence.

The process of growing your social media presence starts with first examining who your audience is. Whether a customer subscribes to your newsletters, signed up for your rewards program, or Accel’s FREE loyalty program, AE Player Rewards, chances are you have their email address. If you are continually emailing customers, don’t forget to include an option to follow you on social media, so that the ones who regularly interact with your emails will now be interacting on social too. The more people you can get to check out your social media the better!

To truly be seen and grow your business, you should be posting regularly and posting content your audience will be interested in. Customers want to see that your business is active on social media and that your content is worth viewing. Make sure you are on the platforms your audience is on. While on these platforms, ensure you are posting the right content on each of your platforms and not just posting the same thing on every platform. Experiment with different types of content and times of day to post to see what gets the most engagement. Wherever and whenever you choose to post, your content should be seen as human and not come off like an ad.

Creating content that encourages engagement is a great way to get your customers involved and make others want to get involved. Asking for feedback on how people enjoy your new menu item, or telling people to leave a comment for a discount on their next purchase is a great way to get the conversation started. Customers love knowing you care about their opinions and want to hear from them and if they are posting good things make sure you’re showing that off! You’ll learn so much from listening to your customers, so make sure you’re listening to the good and the bad, addressing all questions/concerns and adjusting your social media strategy as needed.

For your social media to succeed and grow, you will need to create a social media strategy to see what works best for your businesses. Your strategy goals should be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) and be true to your brand. Social tools like Hubspot and Sprout Social will even publish, monitor, and track for you! Using tools like these, or just a standard media calendar to create your content in advance and schedule it later, could help you save time when executing your social media strategy.

Growing your social presence not only brings in more customers, but also builds more meaningful relationships with your customers. This may take some time, but if done correctly those relationships will only benefit your establishment.
